Oscars 2023: Best Original Song Nominee Naatu Naatu To Be Performed Live

This is not an exercise. RRR’s song Naatu Naatu will be performed live on stage at the 95th Academy Awards. Singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava will perform the insanely viral song on stage in their Oscar debut, the Academy announced on Tuesday night. RRR SS Rajamouli’s Naatu Naatu was also nominated for Best Original Song at this year’s Oscars. The music of the song is composed by MM Keeravaani while its lyrics are penned by Chandrabose. Meanwhile, Rihanna will also perform her Oscar-nominated song Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12 (March 13 in India) at the Dolly Theater in Los Angeles.

Reacting to the big announcement, Naatu Naatu singer Rahul Sipligunj wrote, “This will be an unforgettable moment in my life.”

Naatu Naatuwon Best Song at this year’s 80th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles. Other nominees in the category were Carolina Taylor Swift from Where The Crawdads Sing, Ciao Papa from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick and Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Additionally, at the Hollywood Critics Association Awards, Naatu Naatu won Best Original Song. The song won Best Original Song at the Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles this year.

About RRR – directed by SS Rajamouli, the film is set in the 1920s. It is a fictional story based on two legendary freedom fighters – Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. It boasts of an impressive cast that included Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson also starred.
