Xiaomi has launched its MIUI 14 user interface based on Android 13 in India. MIUI 14 includes new features such as RAM and internal storage usage, redesigned home screen, visually appealing widgets, creative wallpapers and a number of tricks to improve the overall smartphone experience. The smartphone claims that with MIUI 14, Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones will not only bring a more creative user interface with optimized performance, but also innovative convenient features, creative all-in-one features and a more convenient experience. Redesigned home screen
With MIUI 14, users will now be able to organize their smartphone’s home screen to their liking. Users can now customize their home screen with table icons, large folders, widgets and wallpapers.
Flexible and user-friendly design
Xiaomi introduced a card-style design in MIUI 14 for a unique visual experience. The design now displays the information on the screen better. Along with this, MIUI 14 also introduces three new clock widgets, four more weather widgets, a photo gallery, as well as redesigned battery options, step counters and more.
Smooth and optimized user interface
With MIUI 14, users can also improve the overall aesthetics through a redesigned settings page. By reducing the number of redundant items, narrower rows and more recognizable icons, MIUI 14 makes it easier than ever to get the settings you want.
Smart ROM optimization
MIUI 14 comes with Smart ROM optimization for better performance. This new system-level feature can drastically reduce cache usage by analyzing low-use apps, reducing usage by up to 3GB over a three-month period. The system space occupied by MIUI has also been reduced to further improve the user experience. For phones with 128GB of storage, this can mean up to 4GB of extra storage, giving users the flexibility to install additional apps.
RAM optimization
MIUI 14 also features improved RAM optimization to give users the fastest boot time ever. MIUI 14 uses 214MB(1) less boot memory, enabling one of the fastest boot speeds ever seen on a Xiaomi device. In addition, MIUI 14 reduced the RAM occupied by the 19 most used system apps by 11%.
More tools for a better user experience
MIUI 14 embraces the creativity of users by giving them more tools for a better experience. New additions like the ability to copy text from a photo in the gallery, remove objects from an image, and a voice shutter that lets you say cheese and automatically captures favorite moments are designed to balance the needs.
